We will start the visit in the Almocábar Gate, one of the entrances in the walls of the ancient medina. We will pass the Church of Holy Spirit and continue to the Church of Santa María la Mayor, main church of Ronda called collegiate. We will enter inside to admire rich decoration of several altars. We will pass the Mondragón Palace, currently municipal museum, and Casa Don Bosco, towards the New Bridge, symbol of Ronda and the best known image of the city.
The New Bridge is 98 m high masterpiece, built in the 18th century. It allowed the connection of the old quarter with the modern neighbourhood called Mercadillo and enabled the urban expansion of the city. We will continue to the Bullring, which – together with the New Bridge – is the essence of the city. Built in the 18th century, it is the oldest bullring in Spain. We will visit the ring, the stables and the museum to understand the importance of the bullfighting for Spain and specially for Andalusia.
We will finish the visit on the street Vicente Espinel, the most important shopping street in the city, to browse the shops and to replenish our forces in some typical restaurant of the city.
